ModernFix for Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric)
ModernFix has no official Minecraft 26.2 Fabric build yet. Its author's newest Fabric build, 5.20.3+mc1.21.4, is for Minecraft 1.21.4. Its author still builds for NeoForge (newest for 26.1.2). A community port runs on 26.2: the Modkeel lab ran it in a modpack on a real 26.2 server and client.
Author's builds checked on Modrinth on October 12, 2026; ports tested on September 29, 2026.
How the lab checked
On September 29, 2026, the lab put the port in its Keel: Better Structures modpack, 32 mods on Fabric 26.2, and started a real dedicated server: it was ready in 10 seconds. The test then generated every structure the pack's mods add, one by one with the server's own /place structure command: 197 in all (1 more cannot fit at the test spots, a known limit of those structures, not of the ports). A real client then started with the same mods and joined a world. Nothing crashed.
The 26.2 port
ModernFix, in its author's words: “All-in-one mod that improves performance, reduces memory usage, and fixes many bugs. Compatible with all your favorite performance mods!”
The lab's server and client both started with it in the pack. The lab also ran ModernFix on other versions: its lab page.
In the lab's server benchmark
The fork is also on Modrinth as ModernFix-mVUS, and the lab ran its 26.2 build in its 26.2 server benchmark: a fresh Fabric server with only Fabric API and Chunky, the same scenes every run, 2 runs with it against 8 without it. It did better than every run without it on memory after start (-5%) and redstone (-12%); worse than every one on new terrain (+6%). Its runs disagreed on memory after new terrain (-13%): too few runs to say which way it goes. On server start and 400 mobs its runs stayed within the range of the runs without it: no difference the benchmark can tell from noise. A plain server has none of the mods a big modpack loads, so this shows the port's own cost, not what it saves in a large pack.
Download modernfix-5.27.18-build.1.jar (1.1 MB, LGPL-3.0-only). It is the community port coredex-source/ModernFix---mVUS's own release; it is not from the mod's author, so report its bugs to the port. SHA-1 8497fee7fdd87d6a1f5a7a85ee7f76e14a415e7b
Before you add it
- Back up your world. A port is a stand-in: nobody can test yet whether the official build will read everything a port wrote.
- Switch to the official build once its Modrinth page lists 26.2 for Fabric.
Trying ModernFix on 26.2?
Your pack is not the lab's: a port can fail in it. The Modkeel Companion, a free mod for Fabric, copies each world before it loads with different mods; if the game then crashes, it names the mod that most likely caused it and turns that mod off, or goes back to the mods that last worked, in one click.

The lab ran it on Fabric 26.2 only. It is a Fabric build.

Nobody can test that until it exists. Back up the world before adding a port and again before switching to the official build.
About this page
The Modkeel lab lists a community port only after running it in one of its modpacks on a real server and client. Ask an AI assistant with Modkeel's MCP server where to get a mod for your version: it finds official builds and these ports.
